Who are we?

Team HALO is a ambition-driven student team
using drones to make an imapct

Consisting of students with experience in competing at the highest level in all sorts of robotics competitions,
This team was formed with the aim of winning one of India's biggest drone events, NIDAR 2025,
Organized by The Drone Federation of India (DFI) and The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITy).


This team is competing in the Disaster Management Mission, focused on idetifying trapped survivors and delivering aid in a simulated flood environment.
The scoring is based on number of survivors identified, number of packages delivered, the accuracy with which the package was delivered and the total time taken.

Remarkable Accuracy

A sophisticated delivery system aims and delivers upto 5 payloads in a single flight with an impressive accuracy of +/- 1 meter from an altitude of 10 meters.

With a top speed of 55 km/h, a range of 8200m and payload capacity of 3kg, This drone is designed to perform in any situatuion. Modular approach allows it to be used in a far wider range of applications than just disaster response.

Theia

Greek Goddess of Sight

Theia is our Scout module, equipped with a high resolution mirrorless camera, it is capable of identifying and locating survivors from a high altitude.

Aquila

Latin for Eagle

Aquila is our base drone, the foundation which carries both the Scout and Delivery modules. Powered by Ardupilot and made for fully autonomous flight.

Epione

Greek Goddess of Healing

Epione is our advanced delivery system. Designed to deliver 5 packages, each upto 200g with an accuracy of +/- 1 meter from an altitude of 10 meters.
